Find out here if you, as an Individual Microentrepreneur, are entitled to Unemployment Aid, one of the benefits offered by MEI.
What this article covers:
After all, do I, as an Individual Microentrepreneur, have the right to Unemployment Aid?
This is a question that does not have a concrete answer, because to have access to the benefit offered by the MEI, it depends a lot on the situation in which the Individual Microentrepreneur finds himself, because each case is a case.
In other words, it is necessary to analyze the cases individually to find out if the Individual Micro-entrepreneur is entitled to receive Unemployment Aid.
However, it is extremely important to know that Unemployment Aid is guaranteed to all citizens dismissed from their service without just cause. This means that the Individual Microentrepreneur needs to have a formal employment relationship, in addition to the need to verify the question of his income in the last periods of his service.
In the regulations of the MEI, there are norms that make reference to the Unemployment Aid, which determine that the Individual Micro-entrepreneur can receive the payment of the benefit only in case he does not have any form of income, being understood as an employment contract or business performance of profits. Therefore, in general, the Individual Microentrepreneur is not included in this case.
However, the Federal Government recognized the existence of situations in which the Individual Micro-entrepreneur has the right to receive unemployment benefit payments.
Check below the list of situations in which the Individual Microentrepreneur is entitled to receive the payment of the Unemployment Aid:
- In case of absence of business billing over certain last months;
- In case of proof of termination of your company.
- If you have an income of less than the minimum wage for MEI activities during the period of receipt of the benefit.
- In case the Individual Microentrepreneur has had a previous job in which he was dismissed without just cause, much less without income in his enterprise.
All the cases in which an Individual Micro-entrepreneur is entitled to receive the payment of the Unemployment Aid were presented first hand.
