However, it is extremely important to know that Unemployment Aid is guaranteed to all citizens dismissed from their service without just cause. This means that the Individual Microentrepreneur needs to have a formal employment relationship, in addition to the need to verify the question of his income in the last periods of his service.

In the regulations of the MEI, there are norms that make reference to the Unemployment Aid, which determine that the Individual Micro-entrepreneur can receive the payment of the benefit only in case he does not have any form of income, being understood as an employment contract or business performance of profits. Therefore, in general, the Individual Microentrepreneur is not included in this case.

However, the Federal Government recognized the existence of situations in which the Individual Micro-entrepreneur has the right to receive unemployment benefit payments.
