The Dani Alves case is giving updates and new details on a daily basis. According to information from La Vanguardia, a new witness assured that the soccer player also went too far with her and violently groped her private parts without authorization on December 30 at the Sutton nightclub.
According to the information, “the witnesses also corner Dani Alves.” Apparently, one of the young women who accompanied the alleged victim that night confessed to the Mossos d’Esquadra (Barcelona Police) that the player aggressively touched her intimate areas.
The Spanish media reported that the statements of the two companions of the complainant have been relevant. And it is that the 23-year-old woman was with her cousin and a friend of hers on the night that the events allegedly occurred. The latter was the one who would have confessed to the authorities the inappropriate behavior of Alves.
Quoting La Vanguardia, the chronology described by this new witness would coincide with what was previously revealed by the alleged victim. “I realized how I touched my friends and how attached I was to them,” he indicates in part of his version.
According to the affected person’s account, she was with her cousin and a friend at the Sutton nightclub on December 30 when an innkeeper approached her and insisted that she go to the VIP to meet a “friend”.
The Brazilian was detained by order of a judge after inconsistencies in his statement to the authorities. He is currently under arrest at Brians 2 prison, to which he was transferred for “security reasons” last Monday. The South American must remain behind bars without the right to bail and while the investigation against him progresses.
If found guilty, he would face a sentence of four to 12 years. This is thanks to the latest legislative amendment to the Law on the Guarantee of Sexual Freedom or better known as “Only yes is yes”, which establishes that when the aggression consists of vaginal, anal or oral carnal access, it is considered rape.
