While preparing physically and psychologically for his fight against Gervonta Davis on April 22 in Las Vegas, Californian Ryan Garcia delivered interesting statements about the time he was able to face Mannny Pacquiao.

In conversation with the media, “King Ryan” told how in the past he had everything ready to face Gervonta Davis, but Sean Gibbons, president of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, told him about facing the boxing legend.

“I was all set to fight Tank Davis after that and then I was lied to by Sean Gibbons (Manny Pacquiao Promotions president) about a fight with Manny Pacquiao, which anyone who has a fight with Manny Pacquiao would say, why not?” said the 24-year-old boxer.

After this conversation, there were no more approaches, much less negotiations, and everything remained in a single conversation.

“I was cast as a liar because of someone else’s mistakes and lack of leadership,” Ryan Garcia recalled.

Ryan did not specify the dates of these events, but it is remembered that it was in mid-2021, before the Californian of Mexican origins argued that he had mental problems and moved away from the ring and the public eye for a while.
