It’s been over a month now the consecration of the Argentine National Team in the Qatar World Cup 2022. The victory of the Albiceleste over France left a lot of controversy for the celebrations of the Argentine soccer players after the title. Political leaders, coaches and even Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke on the subject.
The legendary Swedish goalscorer has been characterized by not have any kind of filter when declaring. Zlatan only excluded Lionel Messi from his criticism of the footballers of the Argentine National Team.
“Messi is considered the best in history and will be remembered for winning the World Cup in Qatar, but I am worried about the other players of the Argentine National Team because they are not going to win anything else”, Zlatan said in an interview with Radio France.
The former FC Barcelona player remarked his position that the other Albiceleste players will not be able to lift a trophy of similar weight. Zlatan brought out the professional side of him and questioned the disrespectful attitudes of some members of the Argentina squad.
“Messi won everything and will be remembered, but the rest behaved badly and that cannot be respected. I say that as a high-level professional. For me it’s a sign that they won once, but they won’t do it again”, he remarked.
Finally, Zlatan Ibrahimovic regretted that France was not crowned at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but for the performance of Kylian Mbappéfootballer who scored three goals in the final and actually made it in the penalty shootout.
“I feel sorry for Mbappé, because scoring four goals in a final and not winning it is very sad. But he already won a World Cup and is going to win another”, he concluded.
