Good news for those looking for hours of autonomy (with few hours of charge); Xiaomi has just set a new record in terms of fast charging. This was reported by the Xiaomiui fan page, who revealed a report where the company presented the new charging system capable of powering a battery from 0 to 100% in just 8 minutes.
To achieve this, a power of 210W is used. The last time we heard about the company’s advances in fast cable charging was last year, when they tested the Xiaomi 11 Pro. At that time they also achieved a full battery in 8 minutes and needed only 200W, but , the charger never went on sale.
It is not yet clear why they decided to increase the power of the charger by 10W, perhaps they will make a better team together with the battery. It should be clarified that the battery with which the tests were carried out is 4000mAh, and it was shown that it is enough for a full charge in a very short time. The charging speed can send the necessary energy in a short time so that the devices have several hours of autonomy.

Now that the charger has been accredited, it would be expected to be marketed. However, it is uncertain if Xiaomi will include it in any device. The truth is that, if so, it will most likely accompany a cell phone, perhaps the Xiaomi 13 or Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the two high-end cell phones that are expected from the company soon.
So far, the Chinese manufacturer iQOO currently holds the record for fast charging. Well, it offers a fast cable charge of 200W, but, unlike Xiaomi, it offers a battery charged from 0 to 100% in 10 minutes, two minutes more than its competition. Now Xiaomi intends to top it with 210W charging.
