Vinicius Jr. is once again immersed in a strong controversy after receiving harsh insults from the fans of the El Sadar Stadium in Real Madrid’s away victory against Osasuna by a score of 0-2 and with the Brazilian as the absolute protagonist.
The game had not started and hatred towards the young attacker was already proliferating among the 25,000 spectators. The first controversial action came during the players’ minute of silence for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
While the figures and the refereeing body surrounded the center of the field and the sports venue was completely silent, a fan interrupted the prevailing peace to insult the South American. “Vinicius, son of a bitch”, was the cry that was heard.
Already in the middle of the game, the match was stung even more when in a dispute the ball went down the flank and Munuera Montero signaled a serve for Osasuna. Vinicius got angry and according to various media in Spain and images of the transmission, strongly insulted the referee.
“Go to hell**, son of a bitch **”, he would have said on two occasions looking at the principal. Subsequently, the tension rose after Vinicius and Moi Gómez ended up facing each other in the last bars of the first half due to a game incident. The referee resolved the small conflict attempt with yellow for both.
However, this generated the anger of some players and Carlo Ancelotti himself, in a facet little seen of him, entered the field of play as soon as the first 45 minutes had finished to claim the card from the referee.
By this point in the duel, the fans were throwing their heads against the young attacker and the rude chants would not stop. As has happened in other stadiums when Madrid has played on a visit this season, the “son of a pu**, you are a son of a bitch **” rumbled in the stands during several sections of the commitment.
Throughout the season, Madrid’s number 20 has suffered strong harassment from rival players and fans. He has even been the victim of insults and racist actions.
Vini was erratic on the pitch, failing up to three one-on-one against Herrera. The whites suffered, but were able to win the game after a play in which the Brazilian assisted Fede Valverde. Already in discount he scored the second, but it was invalidated for offside thanks to VAR.
The 0-2 came after a steal from the young debutant Uruguayan Álvaro Rodríguez, who served the assist to Marco Asensio.
