Nobody stops Orbelín Pineda in Greece. “The Mage” scored again this Sunday in the 3-0 win over the AEK Athens on the Aris Salonica and established itself as an indisputable pillar in the scheme of Matías Almeyda.
In the match corresponding to date 20 of the Greek Super League, Pineda sentenced the match at minute 89when he entered the rival area after a counterattack and finished off Ezequiel Araujo’s pass with his left leg.
The Mexican’s goal meant the final 3-0 for the “Pelado” team. The first goals came courtesy of Nordim Amrabat at minute 18 (from a penalty) and Mijat Gacinovic at minute 76.
With this result, AEK Athens reached 47 points and rose to the top of the Greek championshiptwo units above its closest rival, Panathinaikos, which still has a game to go.
For his part, Orbelín reached seven goals in the Greek Super League. His victims, in addition to Aris, have been Panaitolikos, Panathinaikos (two), Volos, Giannina and Lamia.
