This week Comic Con kicked off in San Diego. This means that the next few days will be full of new previews, news and news of some of the series and movies that will arrive in the coming months. And although many have their eyes focused on the news that Marvel or DC will bring, there is another project to pay attention to: the Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) movie.
How is the movie called?
The official title is Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (which translates to Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves).
Do we already have a trailer?
Yes. You can see it at the beginning of the note or in this link.
Who produces it?
The film is the product of an alliance between Universal Pictures and Habro Entertainment.
Who is in it?
The main Party consists of a bard (Chris Pine), a Barbarian (Michelle Rodriguez), a warrior (Regé-Jean Page), a mage (Justice Smith), and a shape-shifting druid (Sophia Lillis).
What will be the story of the movie?
Dungeons & Dragons will be themed around a classic adventure. On a mission to steal an item, a bard and a barbarian end up unleashing an evil with the ability to destroy the world. After cashing the check and with conscience, the group decides to gather other allies and undertake a mission to try to correct their mistake.
Will there be references?
The trailer proves that they are and, for now, it seems that these are used in the best way. For example, the druid has the ability to transform into an Owl Bear, we see a Mimic attack, dragons (of course), and we even get a glimpse of a gelatinous cube. Surely in the next previews we will also see new monsters as well as some references to iconic locations in the game.
When will the movie be released?
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is scheduled for release in March 2023 (no exact date).
