Toni Collette and her husband Dave Galafassi have separated after two decades of marriage, the actress says in a post on Instagram. The news comes after The Daily Mail published pictures of Galafassi kissing a woman on a beach in Australia.
Actress Toni Collette, known from movies like About a boy, Sixth Sense and Hereditary, and her husband Dave Galafassi have gone their separate ways after twenty years of marriage. Collette herself told about the breakup in a post on Instagram on Wednesday:
“After an extended period of separation, it is with grace and gratitude that we announce our separation. We are unanimous in our decision and part ways with continued respect and care for each other,” she and Galafassi write in a joint statement.
In the statement, they also mention their children, Sage Florence, 14, and Arlo Robert, 11, who they say are “of utmost importance” to them.

Shortly before the joint statement was published, Collette shared a quote on her story on the same platform:
“No matter what your current circumstances are, if you can imagine something better for yourself, you can create it,” reads the quote.
The post came shortly after that The Daily Mail published pictures of Galafassi together with a woman on a beach in Sydney, Australia. In the pictures, he and the woman are holding hands and kissing each other.
