Tom Bradyconsidered the best player in nfl historywill become the television’s highest paid commentator thanks to the contract that signed with FOX Sports for 10 years and $375 million dollars.
“We are pleased to announce that immediately after his playing career seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady will join us at FOX Sports as our lead analystLachlan Murdoch, CEO of Fox Corporation, declared in May of last year.
Tom Brady announced Wednesday his retirement from the NFL after 23 seasons in which he earned six Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneersthe team with which he played the 2022 season, the last of his career.
At 45, the ex-quarterback will come to television to become highest paid commentator above Troy Aikmanformer Dallas Cowboys legend and former analyst, who is an all-star analyst for ESPN, and Tony Romo, another former Cowboys quarterback, who works for CBS.
The seven-time NFL champion will earn more than $37 million dollars a year; amount greater than $18 million charged by Aikman and Romo, in their respective chains.
In February 2022 Brady said goodbye to the league for the first time, a decision that he repented 40 days later to play one last season with the Buccaneers, team with which he was eliminated in the wild card round by the Cowboys on January 16.
Given the intention to retire shown by the field marshal, who was 44 years old at the time, in May 2022 FOX Sports was ahead of ESPN in its hiring.
The television network has contemplated that Brady joins the team of commentators starting in the 2023 season.
Fox Sports has the rights to broadcast Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles next February 12; It has not yet confirmed the pair of commentators who will narrate and analyze said match.
