It’s been a while since I’ve made room to watch movies like a few years ago, however, my friends and family constantly recommend movies to me. Going through things I found a list where I have written down the productions that have been recommended to me, but now another problem arose: I didn’t know where to see them. With all the streaming platforms out there, it’s easy to forget which one you want to watch is on.
Yes, there was the option of googling the movie to tell me what website I could watch it on, but I found it boring and time consuming. I finally found JustWatch, an app that doubles as a ‘streaming guide’. I will explain how to use it so that you can also know where to find all the series, movies, documentaries, football matches, etc.
You’ll need to download the app from your phone’s app store or download it here for Android and here for iOS. You will have to register but it is simple; the easiest solution is to connect it with Facebook or mail, however, you can create it from scratch if you wish. You just have to write an email and password. Once you have entered, the application will ask you to include the platforms where you want the movies to be shown.

The app asks you to choose the platforms you want; What is recommended at this point is that you have the streaming platforms open on your phone, that way JustWatch will send you directly if you require it. For example, if you search for ‘Ted’ in JustWatch it will show you that it is available on Netflix and HBO Max, if you have Netflix installed and you have the session open, you can go directly to watch the movie from there.
You need to make sure you are looking for the content in the correct country. To do this, you must go to your account in the upper right corner where you see an icon of a person. There you will see that there is a country selected, verify that it is the correct one, otherwise, the catalogs of the country that is not will be displayed.
One of the downsides of the app is that it contains ads, but like most apps, if you want to get rid of ads, you have to pay for a premium subscription. However, as a good Colombian, I am more interested if it is free.
