It’s that time of year: Leakers, pundits, and information analysts are digging through their sources to predict when and what we’ll see from Samsung’s first showing in 2023. Of course, Samsung in particular has a special record for wrong predictions, especially when they point to a possible date for its release. And we end the first week of November with a pretty juicy fact: the Samsung Galaxy S23 will land in February.
In accordance with The Chosun Ilbothe oldest newspaper in South Korea, presented a report in which it ensures that the new high-end device will arrive on February 17, 2023. For now, apart from this medium, there is no other source that confirms that the rumor about this date is true.
What these reports mean is that all previous leaks that pointed to the Samsung Galaxy S23 being unveiled in December 2022 were wrong. By far, the dates ensure that the South Korean manufacturer intends to launch its new cell phone in the first week of February, for now. The date makes a lot of sense considering that the launch of the previous generation of devices was carried out in February, with the first devices starting to be available a few days after next week.
The report also confirms that Samsung intends to launch the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra at the same event.
What do we think of the Samsung Galaxy S22?
The first impression what the box gives us is that, as we are used to with Samsung, it is a quite elegant, minimalist design and reveals very little information about the cell phone; its size is also quite small compared to previous cell phones.
Next to the Galaxy S22 Ultra we find a small box where the charging cable from type C to type C comes; Remember that most phones, like this one, already come without the charger adapter, you have to buy it separately.
We see the key to open the SIM compartment which has the hole in the grip part so you can hang it on your keychain and not lose it. A short instruction manual to learn how to insert the SIM Card correctly. Manufacturers already assume that you know how to use mobile devices, so the manuals are not what they used to be.

Samsung already breaks with the fashion of sensors within a module and has “risked” to integrate directly into the back of the phone. The camera is equipped with four lenses, a 108-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and two 10-megapixel telephoto lenses, one with 3x optical zoom and the other with 10x optical zoom. Its front camera is 40 megapixels.
Its screen has a size of 6.8 inches and a QuadHD + resolution with a refresh rate that is adaptive from 1 to 120 Hz and a touch refresh of 240 Hz in game mode. The panel is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus, which protects it from scratches and peeling.
The cell phone is powered by an Exynos 2200 processor, also owned by Samsung. Its battery is 5000 mAh compatible with 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Finally, we find one of its biggest attractions, the S Pen.
