The Dinho dynasty: Barcelona FC made official the announcement of the signing of Ronaldinho’s son for the youth team

Barcelona announced this Thursday the signing of Joao Mendes, the son of former Brazilian soccer player Ronaldo de Assis Moreira ‘Ronaldinho’who will play in the youth team of the Barça club.

“The player Joao Mendes has signed, in the presence of the director Joan Soler Ferre and the director of Training Football José Ramon Alexanco, his incorporation to FC Barcelona in the youth stage”, reported the La Masía team on social networks.

The entity confirmed on its social networks the incorporation of the Brazilian striker, something that both the player’s father and the president Joan Laporta they had already hinted recently.

In February, Ronaldinho assured that he will now be “more present” in the culé team once his son has a file, which he also sees going far in football.

“With the arrival of my son at Barcelona I will be more present than ever at the club. I’m never out of the club. Barcelona is part of life, wherever I go I take Barcelona with me. With the arrival of my son at Barca I will be more present”, added the retired star.

In fact, Joao Mendes, 18, has been training in a trial period at the Barca youth team in recent weeks.

The striker, who was without a team after passing through the lower categories of Cruzeiro, has signed his new contract in the presence of manager Joan Soler and the director of youth football, José Ramon Alexanco.

Barcelona B is in the sixth position of Group B of the Third Division of Spanish Soccer with 38 points in 25 days. The Catalan youth team has one win, one loss and three draws in their last five games.
