Zoom X will be part of the digitization of Stockholm’s public sector. 16,000 users will be provided with Zoom X, the municipality announces.
Sweden’s largest municipality – the city of Stockholm – has chosen to use Zoom X, a customized solution from Zoom Video Communications, Inc, as part of the digitalization of the municipality’s public sector. Zoom X, operated by Deutsche Telekom, combines an intuitive and innovative communication experience with a local infrastructure, data security and top-class services. The localization for the Swedish market is carried out by Visualised AB, Zoom’s largest system integration partner in the Nordics.
Zoom X fully complies with the City of Stockholm’s safety and privacy requirements and will replace the solutions that the municipality has used so far. The communication platform Zoom has, together with Stockholm City and Visualised AB, worked to meet the legal and technical requirements recommended by the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS). The solution, which is entirely operated and managed within the EU, delivers Zoom’s trusted services and features, including meetings, chat, whiteboarding, webinars, Zoom Rooms and Zoom Phone.
Initially, 16,000 users will be provided with Zoom X. Here are some of the opportunities that the city of Stockholm, Sweden’s largest municipality, will be able to take advantage of:
- Secure and reliable collaboration for employees in the public sector
- Better support for people with hearing impairments, language and speech difficulties, by offering language interpretation, translation and transcription via video communication
- Provide a better working environment for staff in the public sector for increased employee satisfaction, reduced staff turnover and fewer commuting hours to work.
“Zoom X enables us to meet the requirements in highly regulated environments, such as in the Swedish public sector. The collaboration with Stockholm City and Visualized is a good example of how we work together with our partners and customers, to safeguard compliance with requirements and laws,” says Ole Mygind at Zoom.
