10,000 steps is what we usually hear when it comes to good health and walking. However, it turns out that you don’t have to fight all that hard to improve your health, even if it’s a great goal!
There is no question that it is useful to move. However, there are many people who would like to know what the minimum number of steps per day needs to be, in order to feel as well as possible. Many struggle with tight schedules and other things that get in the way of exercise. We tell you how many steps a day you should walk as a minimum, to notice a difference in your health!
A little is better than nothing
According to a new study, it has been shown that you actually get good results even from 8500 steps and in fact all the way down to 7500 steps. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t aim for more, but on days when it’s hard to piece the puzzle together, you can absolutely settle for a slightly lower number.
The researchers behind the study concluded that 7,500 steps a day reduced the risks of poorer health, and the study was based on 70-year-old women. This means that the results may not apply to younger people and men to the same extent.
