Kim Kardashian on Kanye controversy: ‘Heavy stuff’
West and Kardashian went their separate ways in February 2022, this after seven years of marriage. They have four children together: North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
West has recently been involved in several controversies as he has made racist and anti-Semitic statements in various contexts. According to Kardashian, she is working hard to protect the children from the controversy surrounding West.
“I had the best dad, and I had the best memories and the best experience and that’s all I want my kids to have,” she said, continuing:
“If they don’t know what’s being said and happening in the world, why would I ever expose them to that energy? It’s very heavy, grown-up stuff that they’re not ready to deal with.”
Kardashian also says that she does not speak ill of West for the sake of her children:
“One day my children will thank me for not sitting here and badmouthing their father when I could. All the crazy stuff. They will thank me and I will answer all their questions privately. It is no longer my business to get involved.”
