O Tiramisu is an Italian dessert, with origin associated with the city of Treviso. It consists of a perfect combination of tasty ingredients.

It is made with layers of champagne biscuits soaked in coffee and interspersed with a cream made from mascarpone cheese. But the list of ingredients doesn’t end there.

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 100gr of sugar
  • 250gr of mascarpone cheese (you can also use fresh cream cheese)
  • 3dl of coffee
  • Rum or coffee liqueur to taste
  • 150gr of champagne biscuit
  • Chocolate or cocoa powder

preparation method

  • Crack the eggs, separating the yolks into one bowl and the whites into another.
  • Add half the sugar to the egg yolks and beat with a mixer until creamy.
  • Add the mascarpone cheese and continue to beat until the mixture is very fluffy and creamy.
  • Beat the egg whites with the mixer and, when they start to foam, add the remaining sugar and continue beating until they are very thick.
  • Gently fold the egg whites into the cream cheese and set aside.
  • Perfume the coffee with a little rum.
  • Dip the biscuits in the coffee mixture as you place them, side by side, in the container where you are going to serve the dessert.
  • Cover the sticks with the cream cheese and place another layer of sticks soaked in coffee on top.
  • Finish with a layer of cream cheese and refrigerate until chilled.
  • When serving, sprinkle with cocoa or powdered chocolate.

Chocolate and Hazelnut Tiramisu

Ingredients

  • 500g of instant cream milk
  • 250gr of cream
  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • 60g of granulated sugar
  • 5 drops of rum
  • 400gr of champagne biscuits
  • 400ml of coffee
  • 200g hazelnut chocolate

preparation method

  • Prepare the crème brûlée according to package directions.
  • In a bowl, beat the cream with the mascarpone and sugar.
  • Add the drops of rum and carefully add the crème fraîche to the mascarpone and cream mixture.
  • Soak the cookies in the coffee.
  • On a glass platter, place a layer of mascarpone cream, followed by a layer of biscuits, a little bit of hazelnut chocolate and a new layer of cream.
  • On top, make mounds of hazelnut chocolate, sprinkle with cocoa and coffee powder.
  • Serve very fresh.
