Shohei Ohtani is making his debut in a World Classic and he did it with a resounding victory for Japan over his counterpart from Chinaa with a score of 8-1, all this before 55,000 spectators at the Tokyo Dome.
Most of the fans went to cheer on the Japanese National Team and also see their starShohei Ohtani, who as his followers are accustomed to, shone with the wood and from the mound.
On the mound, the Japanese member of the Los Angeles Angels worked for four innings in which he struck out five Chinese batters and only allowed one hit.
And if that was not enough, the Japanese star touched 100 miles with a straightaway and also reached 99 on six other occasions. Impressive numbers for the current baseball phenomenon.
Ohtani also stood out with the bat and went 4-2with a double, a pair of RBIs, a scored stripe and also receiving tickets.
Ohtani’s impressive numbers in his debut for Japan in the World Classic, which make him, without a doubt, the player to follow among so many stars in this competition.
