Super Bowl LVII was what it promised. Unpublished, surprising and emotionally charged. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles to stay and lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Illustrious Mexicans such as Rolando Cantú, Diana Silva and even the undisputed boxing champion were present at the State Farm Stadium to witness this great clash. Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
The boxer from Guadalajara was seen in one of the boxes of the imposing stadium in Arizona together with his wife, Fernanda Martinez de Alvarez.
The video was posted by Fernanda herself through the stories of her Instagram account (1.4M followers) and both are seen enjoying the halftime show which was led by the great singer Rihanna.
Curiously, the couple was dressed as both teams that were looking to win the Super Bowl on the pitch. While Canelo was in a Chiefs uniform, with Patrick Mahomes’ name and number on his back, Fernanda had an Eagles cap.
Gómez de Álvarez also published in his stories other videos of what was Super Bowl LVII, from the immensity of State Farm Stadium and the total crowd, to the game played by the Chiefs vs. Eagles.
Canelo Álvarez present in Super Bowl commercial
In addition to that, the boxer from Jalisco was able to enjoy having starred in one of the long-awaited -and expensive- half-time commercials of the Super Bowl.
In the commercial you can see the Mexican along with other great stars of world sports such as the retired tennis player Serena Williams (23 Grand Slams in his entire career) and the footballer Alex Morgan (world champion with the United States National Team).
Canelo Álvarez is comically seen driving a beer cart around a golf course and then celebrating the winning shot with Serena Williams.
