Subcutaneous fat: what it is and how to eliminate it

Subcutaneous fat is the most superficial fat in the abdomen, which protects the muscles. The causes of its accumulation can be varied, but they are essentially due to bad eating habits.

An unhealthy diet, that is, one rich in calories and saturated fat, is one of the main causes of subcutaneous fat.

But there may also be other causes: in men they are usually genetic or related to posture, as well as a sedentary lifestyle. In women they are closely related to hormonal changes, for example during menopause.

How to remove subcutaneous fat

A healthy and balanced diet is essential to eliminate excess subcutaneous fat: it is important to calibrate caloric intake to one’s own needs, avoid being overweight and limit the consumption of fats, especially saturated ones.

The reference model must be the Mediterranean dietfrom which the ManzanaRoja diet is inspired, rich in fruits, vegetables and cereals, with moderate amounts of meat and fish and a measured consumption of fats and sweets.

In fact, the food pyramid establishes that three quarters of the daily caloric intake should come from carbohydrates (around 60%) and proteins (15%) and only one quarter from fats (25%).

But diet alone is not enough if it is not combined with regular physical activity. To burn fat and lose weight well, you cannot do without aerobic activity (even a long walk is!).

Treatments to eliminate subcutaneous fat

To reduce persistent accumulations of fat in the belly, you can resort to various treatments.

One of them is mesotherapy, which consists of injecting substances that facilitate removal of fat. But pressotherapy can also be useful, especially in case of fluid retention.

If, on the contrary, you want to resort to a less invasive treatment, but which at the same time can give good results, you can opt for alternating polarity radio frequency. It is a technique that is based on heat, causing the rupture of fat cells, which are eliminated by the body.

All without leaving marks. It is also useful to eliminate belly “wrinkles” caused by weight loss.

Natural remedies: slimming mud

To get rid of subcutaneous fat, there are some natural remedies that you can try. You can prepare a natural mud for the abdominal area as follows:

  • 10 tablespoons of bitter cocoa.
  • 8 tablespoons of ground coffee beans.
  • 5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
  • 5 drops of lemon essential oil.

Mix everything with a little water until the mixture reaches the right consistency to apply on the belly. Wrap the area with plastic wrap. Leave to act for about 20 minutes. Rinse with plenty of water.
