Stranger Things 4 will not have a happy ending, its creators anticipate • ENTER.CO

We are two weeks away from ‘Stranger Things 4’ presenting us with its final episodes. The series left us on the edge of the chair with its seventh episode: Nancy in the middle of one of Vecna’s nightmares, the government chasing Eleven, Hopper and Joyce in Russia… and according to its creators, viewers shouldn’t expect an ending happy this season.

The comments come from an interview that the Duffer brothers (creators of the show) had with Empire Magazine. The reason is that, thus far, all three parts of Stranger Things have ended with the good guys winning the day. Yes, there have been deaths that have embittered the victories, but in general the tone of each of these stories has left things better than at the beginning of the show. Unfortunately, Stranger Things 4

“Volume 2 (of Stranger Things 4) really takes what we did in Volume 1 and ramps everything up. Usually at the end of a season, we tie things up with a nice bow, before a little teaser that says, ‘Wait, something’s falling apart.’ When we move forward in Season 5, we don’t have to do that. There will be no restart from where we left off this season.”

Fans are already waiting for a death. In fact, it would be fair to say that the month before a break Netflix is giving us a space to mourn Eddie Munson who, without a doubt, will be one more victim this season. But the words of the Duffer brothers seem to indicate that Vecna may not be defeated, that we may even see some more significant death or that even Eleven ends up lost on the other side… in any case, it does not seem that things are going to end well for the Boys.

The Duffers have also anticipated that Stranger Things 5 will do a small time jump to adjust events to the current ages of its cast (most of them now adults in their early 20s). So we assume that this victory will be final enough that none of them will act immediately.

Volume 2 of ‘Stranger Things 5’ will be released on July 1, exclusively on Netflix.
