Material to make the puff

To make this beautiful and different puff you will only need an old tire; 6 screws; drill with drill bit the size of the screw body; 6 mm MDF cut into two 55 cm diameter discs; screwdriver or Phillips screwdriver; 5 kg of 10 mm twisted natural sisal rope; hot glue gun and two packages of six tubes of glue each; cloth; brush tool; scissors; and 9000 ml of sealer concentrate, by Sayerlack.

Step 1

Before starting the assembly it is necessary to clean the tire very well. For this, we recommend using a dry cloth. If the tire is very dirty, you should wash the tire with soap and water. Let the tire dry very well before starting to assemble your puff. Start by placing the MDF circle on the tire and drill, with the help of the drill, until the tire’s rubber is perforated, making three holes on that surface.

Now position the screw in each hole drilled. To help you with this task, use a screwdriver.

Use a hot glue gun to glue the sisal together. Drip a little on the tip of the sisal and in the middle of the MDF. Place the sisal in a spiral shape throughout the MDF circle.

When you reach the end of the MDF part, glue the sisal very well in the seam between the tire and the MDF.
