In a televised New Year’s show, the artist Miley Cyrus celebrated the new year with the viewers. The show was also guested by music legend Dolly Parton, and together they performed a famous duet where Cyrus’ song “Wrecking ball” turned into the classic hit “I will always love you.” Check out the clip below!
The show was broadcast live from Miami on NBC and in addition to “Wrecking ball” the duo also performed songs such as “Jolene” and “I love rock’n’roll”. It was also confirmed during the evening that Miley Cyrus will release a new single, “Flowers”, on January 13.
Together with her godmother, Miley Cyrus evoked strong reactions from the fans, and the audience could be heard cheering in the background when Dolly Parton, in the hit “Wrecking ball” from 2013, moved into the chorus of “I will always love you.” On Twitter, one user wrote: “Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus singing I will always love you is exactly how I wanted to enter the new year, 2023.”
