Save data with these 4 settings in iOS 16 • ENTER.CO

Saving data is one of the main concerns of many smartphone users. On your iPhone you can do this by adjusting the settings in iOS 16.

If you are an iPhone user, you probably already have iOS 16 installed, so if you want to save data on your plan, you should change these 4 settings so that it lasts longer during the month. The reason for these 4 settings has to do with the iPhone’s need to stay connected all the time. With the development of the new operating system, Apple included a series of configurations that take full advantage of the continuous connection to the Internet. But you can improve them to better manage your data.

Perhaps you are one of those who always has a WiFi network available and it does not affect you much, however, if you do not have it, you should pay attention to these 4 settings:

You need them, of that we are sure. But this is one of the connections that can consume your data plan the most. You can safely disable this setting by following these steps:

Open your phone’s Settings and click on your profile photo. From there go to iCloud > iCloud Backup and tap on the option Backup via mobile data.

They are the memories that we store in our cell phone to see what we have done and many times we do not want to lose them. Taking and sending photos in large numbers via messages can consume a lot of data, so here’s what you can do:

From the Settings function, go to Photos and then to Mobile data. Here you will see two types of settings:

  • Mobile data: uses a proportion of your allowance
  • Unlimited updates: Full upload and download, which Apple warns “may cause you to exceed your mobile data plan”

If you want, you can deactivate both options to save much more of your data.

It may be curious, but the application store of your iPhone can consume data in view of the constant updates of the apps that you use on your cell phone. Unless you’re in a rush, it’s best to do these downloads over Wi-Fi, so you can turn off the cellular update feature to save data:

From Settings, locate the App Store and click the Mobile Data button.

With these kinds of features, if you’re not careful you can end your data plan in no time. Its occasional use would not have major inconveniences, but one movie after another will undoubtedly affect your data.

To adjust it you must go to Settings and then to the TV option, then you can touch the Use mobile data option.

When this option is active you can select two options:

  • High quality: uses the most data
  • Automatic: uses an optimized flow that uses less data
