The long-running popular fighting game Tekken already has its part 8 ready for users. The first images of this game were revealed during the PlayStation ‘State Of Play’.
In this event, a very short first trailer of the video game was shown where Jin Kazama is shown facing his father, Kazuya Mishima. In this same short it was seen that Jin was able to change into his devil form over the course of the fight and right after he was able to deliver a massive blow. Storms raging behind the combatants, including tornadoes roaring from the sea below, are seen in the same trailer.
In a post on the official PlayStation Blog, Tekken executive producer Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that these character images and backgrounds and effects are from the game. The scene itself that is projected in the trailer is part of the game’s story mode. This type of scenes is what the players themselves will be able to experience during the development of the game.

What the producer wanted to make clear is that this trailer is not about a render generated just to show it to the public, but is actually a part of the game. The same projected video runs at 60 frames per second, a sequence similar to what is experienced in-game in battle modes.
This reveal during the ‘State Of Play’ was a small preview of what was shown at Evo 2022 in August. At the time, only Kazuya’s face was seen along with the word “Get Ready” after the Tekken 7 Grand Finals. The Tekken 8 game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC platforms via Steam in the future. No set release date or window was revealed with the trailer as of yet. Other characters were also not met during the short trailer.
