Once again the sports director of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is back in the news. Luis Campos came down from the box onto the pitch to give instructions as one more coach when the locals were down on the scoreboard (2-3) against Lille.
In an unusual image in today’s football, the Portuguese encouraged his team, shouted and gave instructions when things were not going well. All this under the watchful eye of technical director Christophe Galtier, who did not interfere with the manager’s work.
After Campos’s action, the Parisians managed to equalize the commitment to three goals in a match that was suffered until the end and ended up taking the fourth goal from Messi by way of a free kick.
What was done by the sports director caused a stir on social networks and they considered it a lack of respect towards the figure of the French coach. However, this fact confirms the information from French media.
Apparently, the PSG dressing room would be completely fragmented into subgroups and since the arrival of Campos, he would seek to put an end to that. Even a week ago he had a strong argument in the dressing room with Marquinhos and Neymar Jr. for his lack of involvement.
This fact was confirmed by the Brazilian in the press conference prior to the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League against Bayern Munich. “There has been a little discussion, we did not agree. We’ve argued, but it always happens. I also argue with my girlfriend and we continue together. Soccer is not all love, sometimes it is discussed to improve ”, he said.
“It is true that we have not been well and PSG is not used to winning. Discussions are part of football, and it has helped us to know what each one thinks. It’s my sixth year here and there are always rumors, sometimes malicious. I don’t know what to say, I’m not responsible for that. I am an athlete and these things can affect but we cannot treat everything that comes out”, he added.
