After the first information that linked the president of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Nasser Al-Khelaifi, with the crimes of kidnapping and torture of a French-Algerian citizen immersed in various businesses in the Middle East, three courts in Paris have determined to study the accusation.

The alleged victim goes by the name of Tayeb Benabderrahmane and was reportedly kidnapped and tortured in Qatar for several months. The reason? Having in his possession documents that would harm the PSG leader.

According to L’Equipe’, this alleged crime occurred in 2020 and Benabderrahmane was released once he signed a confidentiality agreement that would shield the possibility of these papers coming out to the public.

“Benabderrahmane claims to have been imprisoned and tortured there for six months. He was then placed under house arrest and finally allowed to leave in November of the same year after having signed a confidentiality protocol in which he promised not to disclose sensitive documents on Nasser Al-Khelaïfi ”indicated the medium.

The documents in question would reveal Al-Khelaifi’s relationship with former FIFA general secretary Jerôme Valcke in the allocation of the past World Cup in Qatar 2022 and the sale of television rights for the 2026 and 2030 World Cups.

L’Equipe said it had confirmed that the news of the investigation into the president is true and despite the fact that the alleged crime took place in Qatari territory, three courts in Paris will study the case.

The French media and the AFP news agency were able to collect the feelings of the lawyers in charge of Benabderrahmane’s defense, who were happy with the decision. “We are very happy that the denunciation of this story is finally the subject of an investigation by the French justice.”

A few hours ago it was also known that the French justice system is investigating Achraf Hakimi, PSG’s right-back, for an alleged sexual assault against a woman in Paris.
