On the 13th of March, Porto Business School will host, between 9:15 am and 1:00 pm, the conference “Future of Growth”, in partnership with CIP – Confederação Empresarial de Portugal.
In this edition of the conference, the three dimensions that contribute to support the growth of national companies will be discussed together: PeopleThe Technology and the Economy.
Growth is one of the main challenges that Portugal has faced for decades, so the conference will feature the vision of some of the main national executives, such as, for example, António Saraiva (CIP), Isabel Barros (SONAE MC) or Manuela Vaz Soares (Accenture).
The rhetoric of the event will focus on some fundamental questions in the current context: what is the role of companies in this scenario of enormous unpredictability with which we are all working? How to reach a relevant dimension, innovate or internationalize?
What reforms in Public Administration, at the Tax and Justice level, are necessary for growth to take place? And from people, what do we expect? And the role of associative entities, what will it be?
According to Patrícia Teixeira Lopes, Associate Dean of Porto Business School, “given the moment of transformation and constant uncertainties that we are going through in economic, political and social terms, the debate on the future of growth in Portugal takes on a crucial dimension”.
“This year, we hope to share the best tools, through the renowned vision of some of the main national executives, in order to support our community and anticipate a better future in the most diverse sectors of activity.”
Foster skills
“As important as recovering is transforming the Portuguese economy. Economic growth is an imperative that must mobilize political, business and academic decision-makers”, adds Antonio Saraiva, President of CIP – Business Confederation of Portugal.
“More than ever, in the enormous unpredictability we face, it is essential to develop and foster skills. Companies and universities must join forces in this endeavor. This Conference aims to contribute to this reflection”, he concluded.
The “Future of Growth” conference will take place in person and free of charge, with mandatory registration until March 10th.
Registration for the conference can be done here or on the websites of Porto Business School and CIP – Confederação Empresarial de Portugal.
Additionally, Porto Business School and CIP – Confederação Empresarial de Portugal also offer the option of participating in the “Networking Lunch”, after the event, accesses being available for 18 euros on the platform last2ticket.
