A peculiar event occurred last Thursday when Los Angeles Lakers star Dennis Schroder was returning home after playing an NBA game where his team beat the San Antonio Spurs and was detained by more than twenty police officers.

This is how he made it known through his YouTube channel. The German was in a friend’s car on his way home when he was stopped by a group of agents who mistakenly handcuffed him by mistaking him for another person.

However, he was able to clarify the situation and avoid the final arrest that would have forced him to spend the night in prison. According to the story, a patrol ordered them to pull over at the next exit.

“Alex told me ‘They’re arresting us.’ I thought I would do what they said and then there would be no problems. They got out of the car and asked them not to do any strange moments. I walked slowly towards them and they asked me to put my hands on my head. I listened to everything they said and followed their instructions, ”he narrated.

The NBA figure specified that the policemen had an aggressive attitude and explained to the base that the arrest was due to the alleged theft of a vehicle that coincided with the license plate of the Cadillac model in which they were moving.

“I did not know what was happening and they told me that the car was not mine and that it was stolen. I told them that there had to be a mistake because that is my car. The license plate was that of my Cadillac,” she indicated.

“They were armed with shotguns, pistols and other weapons. He seemed like he was a criminal who did something. He was crazy. He had never seen anything like this (…) I told a friend to record it in case something terrible happened and people could see it. Then they found the error and everything was fine. Luckily nothing happened to anyone and we returned home safe and sound,” he added.

Schroder played 38 minutes in a 113-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. During that stretch he had nine points, eight rebounds and five assists.
