It seems that one of the Bridgerton siblings will be missing from the popular costume drama’s third season: Phoebe Dynevor has hinted that she will not appear in the new season of Bridgerton.
Many people recognize Phoebe Dynevor as the character Daphne Bridgerton from the popular Netflix series Bridgerton which premiered in 2020.
“Maybe in the future”
The costume drama’s first season focused on Daphne’s love story with Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings. As the series focuses on a new member of the family each season, Dynevor’s character was given a less central role in the second season – and now the actress has hinted that she will not appear at all in season three.
When Dynevor was interviewed by Screen Rant this weekend she was asked if there were any “exciting dynamics” for Daphne in the upcoming season.
“Unfortunately, not in season three. Maybe in the future,” she replied. “But I’m excited to watch season three as a viewer.”
Current with several projects
Dynevor was asked the question during the Sundance festival where she was promoting the film Fair play, in which she plays one of the main roles. She is also current with the film Bank of Dave which premiered on Netflix earlier this month.
It is probably the actress’s many projects that have meant that she has not had the opportunity to participate in season three of Bridgerton. When the filming of the new season started last summer, Dynevor had already committed to participate in the Miramax film Inheritancewhose recordings are said to have taken place in, among other places, Egypt and South Korea.
In August 2022, she shared photos from some of the film’s filming locations on Instagram:
“A few [bilder] from the last few months,” she wrote. “Cairo to Delhi to Seoul. What a beautiful journey. Looking forward to showing what we have created.”
