Good news Persona fans! Persona 5, 4, and 3 will also be coming to Steam and PlayStation 5… with no major announcements for the Switch.
Persona fans are celebrating. Yesterday during the Xbox and Bethesda presentation it was announced that Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5 are coming to Game Pass. The news is exciting because Xbox fans will now be able to enjoy the latest entry in the game, but those fans who haven’t had a chance to enjoy the more ‘classic’ games will now also have (legal) ways to do so.
The good news does not end here. Via an Atlus press release (via PLAY Magazine) has confirmed that all three games will also be coming to Steam and PlayStation 5 platforms.
The bad news (and the meme) is that there is no love for Switch fans. They are the most surprised, because Joker even had an appearance in Super Smash as one of the DLC characters, in addition to the fact that most spinoff games are available on the Switch. This has been a source of speculation among fans who have been eagerly awaiting the chance to play these titles from the comfort of Nintendo’s console.

Not minor news for PlayStation fans either. Although Persona has historically been one of the most popular IPs on their consoles, Sony has done an especially terrible job of offering their players alternatives to enjoy them. Persona 5 Royale, for example, could only be played via backwards compatibility. Persona 3 and Persona 4, on the other hand, were only available on the PS Vita and PSP, two consoles that aren’t exactly synonymous with accessibility.
It’s worth mentioning that Atlus’s confirmation doesn’t clarify if the release date for these platforms will be the same. In the case of Game Pass and Xbox, the first game to arrive will be Persona 5 Royale in October 2022, with no confirmation for Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable.
