On January 31, Pamela Anderson’s memoirs will be released: Love, Pamela. In the new book, the actress and activist tells, among other things, about her stormy relationship with ex-husband Tommy Lee, with whom she has sons Brandon, 26, and Dylan, 25.

Tells about the stormy relationship in new book

Anderson and Lee married on a beach in Mexico in February 1995. They had known each other for a month and a half and dated for only four days. Both have previously talked about the strong feelings they shared, something Anderson writes about in his new book:

“My relationship with Tommy may have been the only time I was truly in love,” reads an excerpt published by People.

The marriage lasted three years. In February 1998, Lee attacked Anderson and their children, for which he was later sentenced to assault. After the incident, she filed for divorce:

“The divorce from Tommy was the worst, lowest, hardest moment of my life,” she writes. “I was devastated. I still couldn’t believe that the person I loved the most was capable of what had happened that night. We were both devastated, but I had to protect my children.”

Anderson and Lee reunited several times before going their separate ways for good in 2010. Today, Anderson says they hear from each other “every now and then”:

“Tommy is the father of my children and I am eternally grateful.”
