“Obi-Wan Kenobi” arrived on Disney+ on May 27 and has pleased both fans of the “Star Wars” saga and critics. The series was one of the most anticipated spin-offs of the franchise due to the reunion of Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan) and Hayden Christensen (Darth Vader), who last acted together in “Revenge of the Sith” in 2005.
However, as seen in the series’ third episode, it’s not just McGregor and Christensen returning to their original roles.

As reported by collider, James Earl Jones, the voice of the dreaded Darth Vader, also returned to the Star Wars universe. The actor made his debut interacting with Inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram) – the Third Sister, and of course fans recognized the voice he echoed throughout the original trilogy.
For those who were confused, Darth Vader is played both by Christensen, in his younger version as the boy Anakin Skywalker, and by Jones, already fully embraced the dark side of the force. It is worth remembering that the actor only voices the villain, who still has a third interpreter for his physical form as Lord of the Sith: bodybuilder and also actor David Prowse – who passed away in 2020.
Recently, “Obi-Wan Kenobi” director Deborah Chow revealed that viewers can expect even more cameos in the series. According to the filmmaker, there’s no “Star Wars without a few Easter eggs, so there’s more on the way.”
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” gets a new episode every Wednesday. Episode 4 is scheduled to be released on June 8th.
