This decision may change, but in the meantime, as owner and CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk can hire, fire and make any changes he wants to the social network. The dissolution of the board of directors was presented before the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) as one of the points related to the purchase of Twitter.
“…as a result of the consummation of the Merger, Mr. Musk became the sole director of Twitter. Under the terms of the Merger Agreement, effective as of the effective date of the Merger, the following persons, who were directors of Twitter prior to the effective date of the Merger, are no longer directors of Twitter: Bret Taylor , Parag Agrawal , Omid Kordestani, David Rosenblatt, Martha Lane Fox, Patrick Pichette, Egon Durban, Fei-Fei Li and Mimi Alemayehou”.

So, for the next few weeks at least, Twitter is under the thumb of a dictator who has already begun chopping heads and ordering express changes, such as charging for account verification. Although the tycoon has not expressed his objective with the purchase of Twitter, we can already get an idea with the many changes that have been made in the few days of Musk in power.
On the other hand, we could assume that the complex financing will result in the installation of some millionaires and entities in power of the social network. However, it will be necessary to give Elon Musk at least a couple more weeks while he adjusts to the new command to know the direction of Twitter. The only thing that all users hope is that the bird continues to be free as Musk put it.
