Nicki Minaj reaches 40 years and becomes a trend on Twitter

It is common for the rapper nicki minaj generate controversy, be it because of her statements, her lyrics or her way of dressing, but this time her detractors came out to criticize her on social networks because of her age.

It is that Minaj celebrates her 40 years and on Twitter she became a trend #Shes40 Y #FatAndForty.

It barely marked 12 in the morning, the haters of the Hip-Hop icon they planned to trend both hashtags, but Minaj’s fans thwarted their plans.

One fan pointed out that Nicki Minaj remains one of the best-selling women in Hip-Hop and writes her own hits. “She’s 40 and STILL THE REIGNING QUEEN OF RAP!!” the tweet read before adding, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICKI.

“The obsession is real,” wrote another of the Barbz. “Everyone loves the queen and if she turns 40 today, the F###### QUEEN OF RAP. DOMINATE AND BE THE MOTHER OF ALL THESE B###### WHO ARE OBSESSED. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICKI! #Shes40”.

While others claimed that the trend was simply to criticize getting old.

“Oh yeah, another hashtag full of people who apparently think women wither into desiccated witches by the time they turn 40,” one tweet read.

New album

Nicki Minaj is working on new music and in a recent interview she revealed some details of what will be her fifth album.

The rapper chatted with JT from “City Girls” about her upcoming release and told him that “I’m not going to say when it will be out, but the album will be out soon”.

Regarding other projects such as returning to work on the big screen, he said that “I’ve been talking to a director about doing something in a movie. As for television, we’ll see. But I love acting, and I will never stop acting for long. That is one of my greatest passions.”
