One of the latest information that came out about Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was a fight inside the locker room in the last Ligue 1 game between Neymar Jr. and sports director Luis Campos. This Monday at the press conference prior to the UEFA Champions League match against Bayern Munich, the Brazilian confirmed that the conflict existed.
Accompanied by his coach, Christophe Galtier, Neymar admitted that he and his teammate Marquinhos had an argument with Luis Campos after the defeat against Monaco, thus confirming the information reported by L’Équipe.
However, the South American star downplayed the matter and compared it to a boyfriend fight. “There has been a little discussion, we did not agree. We’ve argued, but it always happens. I also argue with my girlfriend and we continue together. Football is not all love, sometimes it is discussed to improve ”.
“It is true that we have not been well and PSG is not used to winning. Discussions are part of football, and it has helped us to know what each one thinks. It’s my sixth year here and there are always rumors, sometimes malicious. I don’t know what to say, I’m not responsible for that. I am an athlete and these things can affect but we cannot treat everything that comes out”, he added.
The attacker was also dismayed by the leaking of this type of information, since he considers that they should remain in the privacy of the dressing room. “It’s a bit sad because it should stay between us, it shouldn’t come out, because it’s day to day and we have to go together. When this comes out you bother us but it’s difficult to know how it comes out. Sometimes they are true and sometimes they are not.
In the last game against Monaco, Campos accused Neymar of his lack of attitude and aggressiveness. This would have made the Brazilian upset and together with Marquinhos they got into a heated discussion in Portuguese.
This Tuesday they will face each other in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 against Bayern Munich at home in the Parque de Los Príncipes and with the doubts of Messi and Mbappé, who are going through physical problems.
