Young Royals has been renewed for a third season, Netflix announced today. “I always imagined Young Royals as a three-part series, and thanks to all the fans’ commitment to our story, we now get the opportunity to tell the last one,” says Lisa Ambjörn, lead writer and co-creator.
In November, season two of Young Royals was released, the Swedish hit series whose plot revolves around the teenage Prince Wilhelm who starts at a prestigious boarding school.

Now Netflix confirms that there will be a third and final season of the series, and that all the main actors return in the upcoming season: Edvin Ryding as Prince Wilhelm, Omar Rudberg as Simon, Frida Argento as Sara, Malte Gårdingers as August and Nikita Uggla as Felice.
Lisa Ambjörn, main author and co-creator, says that for a long time she has had it clear to her mind how the story of Prince Wilhelm and the others should end:
“I’ve always envisioned Young Royals as a three-part series, and thanks to all the fans’ commitment to our story, we now have the opportunity to tell the final one. The ending has been clear to me from the very beginning and I am so grateful and honored to end this saga as it was meant to be,” she says.
