Cruz Azul is once again in trouble within Mexican soccer. La Máquina marches at the bottom of Liga MX and the absence of good results led to the departure of Raúl “Potro” Gutiérrez. Under these circumstances, the great parade of coaches began to assume the Cementero team. But Eduardo Trelles considers that Hugo Sánchez is the ideal strategist to recover the good level of Cruz Azul.
The experienced analyst had the luxury of leaving two prestigious coaches in Mexican soccer aside. Trelles believes that Ricardo Ferretti and Antonio Mohamed do not meet Cruz Azul’s current requirements. For the analyst, The Machine needs a media coup that only the “Pentapichichi” can give him.
“Of the candidates to lead Cruz Azul, I no longer see Tuca Ferretti’s enthusiasm for directing; in the case of Mohamed has not come out very well from several teamsin such a way that I I would bet on Hugo Sánchez. A media coup is urgently needed to shake the team“, Trelles explained through his social networks.
Hugo Sánchez, a strategist with a good track record
Despite the fact that “Pentapichichi” has not had such a respected name on the bench as on the field, Sánchez has had several opportunities to direct within Mexican and international soccer. Hugol has led Pumas from UNAM, Necaxa, Almería and the Tuzos del Pachuca.
Hugo Sánchez’s longest period as coach was in his second stage with Los del Pedregalclub that he directed during 184 games and obtained 79 wins, 46 draws and 59 losses.
