MultiAVCHD HD video creation software has been designed to create AVCHD, Blu-Ray, HD DVD or SD-Video, to transfer DVD backups without re-encoding them to Blu-Ray or AVCHD format, to view backups of Blu-Ray discs without re-encoding on your Playstation 3 or to create a 1080p menu for up to 252 different files of various formats including MPEG2, Quicktime MOV, MKV/AVC, AVI/AVC, M2TS/MTS, TS, TRP , M2V, VC1, 264, MP4, MPLS , IFO, etc.) or AVCHD / Blu-ray / DVD / VIDEO_TS folders.
The output can be created for various devices, including Blu-Ray players with Secure Digital High Capacity support (SD/SDHC cards), Blu-Ray players that support the AVCHD format written to DVD-R media or BD-R discs, USB / MS (MemoryStick) / SD / SDHC equipped Blu-ray Disc players (such as Sony Playstation 3, HD DVD players that support DVD-R (3xDVD). Also, direct output in BDMV format is possible.
Phew, now that the technicalities are out, let’s take a look at how the program actually works. Below is a screenshot of the main window of the program after you have added video files to it.
This screen highlights the destination options and the types of playback devices that the application supports.
Click add video files to add media files to the app. If you prefer drag and drop, it is also supported. If you have folders, e.g. Eg a Video_TS folder, use the folders button to add your content to the app.
You can cycle through all the tabs that are displayed, e.g. the subtitles and audio tab, or the menu tab, and make modifications here, or just click start after you have entered the destination path.
This opens the output types supported by the app. Select the appropriate one and follow the instructions from then on.
An interesting usage example for multiAVCHD is as follows: create a menu for up to 252 video files (eg TV shows, YouTube clips), put them all on a USB drive to watch these videos on the Sony Playstation 3.
If the flash drive is big enough, you can create a menu for your media collection that the Playstation 3 can display.
A good start to getting familiar with the program is the excellent tutorial that is available on the developer’s website. The developer’s website itself is linking to Rapidshare for software downloads. A superior option is to visit download portals like Softpedia to download HD video creation software from there.
To updateNote: The program still works fine on the latest versions of the Windows operating system. even though it hasn’t been updated since 2010, it still works fine.
