The daughter of the recently deceased Lisa Marie Presley, Riley Keough, has given birth to a baby girl. The news was announced during Lisa Marie’s memorial service which took place on Sunday.
On January 12 this year, Elvis’ only child, Lisa Marie Presley, died after suffering a cardiac arrest at her home in California.
Priscilla Presley confirmed her daughter’s death in a public statement:
“It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the crushing news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
Announced daughter’s birth during memorial service
This weekend, Lisa Marie Presley was buried at Graceland. Her grave is next to son Benjamin Keoughs, who took his own life in 2020. Lisa Marie’s father Elvis is also buried at Graceland.
During the memorial service, it was announced that Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley Keough, had just given birth to a baby girl. The news came to light when Riley’s husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, read out a letter written by Riley to Lisa Marie:
“Thank you for showing me that love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, my brother and my sisters.”
Smith-Petersen, who married Keough in 2015, did not reveal any further details about when their daughter was born or what she would be named.

Since Lisa Marie’s passing, countless stars have paid tribute to the artist on social media, and this weekend Riley also posted a touching tribute to her mother on Instagram.
In the post, Lisa Marie can be seen looking tenderly at a young Riley. Riley did not comment on the picture with words, content to express her feelings with a heart.
Celebrities like Nicole Richie, Taylor Lautner, Selma Blair and Kim Kardashian have commented on the post with hearts and loving wishes.
