Only a couple of weeks before the premiere of Let’s Dance Artist Andreas Wijk has pulled off the cruciate ligament, it says The evening paper. “Of course it will be tiring to train,” he tells the newspaper.
At the end of January, it became known that Andreas Wijk is one of the participants in this year’s edition of Let’s Dance. In a clip on the program’s Instagram account, the artist himself told the happy news:
“I will replace the music studio with the dance studio this spring because I have accepted Let’s Dance 2023. I hope for no broken bones and that this will work out,” he says then.
Andreas Wijk: “Don’t have time for an operation”
Now Aftonbladet writes that Wijk has injured himself before the premiere of the popular program – he has pulled the cruciate ligament.
At present, however, there is no question of any surgery. Instead, the choreography that Wijk and dance partner Ida Sund work with must be adapted to the injury:
“I don’t have time for an operation in my life. Now it is Let’s dancethen I’m going into a summer tour and then it starts Moulin Rouge– the musical, so I won’t have the opportunity until the summer of 2024 at the earliest,” says the artist.
At the same time, he emphasizes that he is not afraid of injuring himself, but trusts the doctors’ judgment:
“My health will come first. Of course it will be tiring to train, but they won’t put me in danger.”
