The late American journalist, Grant Wahl, was named this Wednesday in the preview of the United States vs Serbia match as the winner of the 2023 Colin Jose Media Ward AwardIn the same way, he received a well-deserved tribute and was guaranteed a position in the broadcast box until the 2026 World Cup.
The 2023 Colin Jose Media Ward Award is a recognition honoring journalists whose careers have significantly contributed to the advancement of soccer in the United States.
Wahl will be honored on May 6 at the United States Soccer Hall of Fame induction ceremony., which will take place from Frisco, Texas. Big names like Landon Donovan, DaMarcus Beasley, Lauren Cheney Holiday, Kate Sobrero Markgraf, former coach Jill Ellis and Steve Zungul will also be included in the ceremony.
