LAFC thrashed Alajuelense of Costa Rica yesterday as a visitor with a score of 3-0, and coach Steve Cherundolo assured that his team will take all the competitions they will play this season seriously, as he certified after he took out his 11th gala in the aforementioned game of the round of 16 of the Concachampions.

It is important to note that the Mexican Carlos Vela, main figure of the black with gold, was the starter and played 67 minutes with the MLS champion team.

Denis Bouanga, a 28-year-old striker, born in Gabon, shone in the hat-trick match that places Carlos Vela’s LAFC with a step into the next phase of the Concacaf Champions League, better known as Concachampions. However, coach Steve Cherundolo assured that they would take the return game seriously.

We believe that if we play the same way and treat the game with the same respect, we can win again.“, said Cherundolo and in turn assured that despite not having a magic ball to guess the next result, he hopes that if they play in the same way, the result can be positive for his team.

The LAFC coach is aware of the favoritism they have to win the Concachampionsthis thanks to his list of great figures, however the word respect has not been missing during his last press conferences, since he knows that he must go one step at a time in the search for the desired results.

LAFC’s next match will be against the New England Revolution on Sunday, March 12, for what will be the third day of the MLS, a competition in which they have just defeated Portland with a score of 3-2. The return against Alajuelense will be on March 15 in Los Angeles and only a debacle could leave those led by Steve Cherundolo out.
