Kyrie Irving believes that the Nets “disrespected him a lot” and was the reason he came to Dallas

Kyrie Irving is the new figure incorporated by the Dallas Mavericks from the Brooklyn Nets, a former team which He assured this Tuesday that he lacked “a lot of respect” and that the board was not “transparent” with himthis being the reason why he did not want to continue in the Brooklyn team.

“I want to be in places where I’m celebrated and not where I’m tolerated or don’t feel respected. There were moments in this period when I was in Brooklyn where I felt like I was very disrespected.” Irving said at his first news conference as a new Mavericks player.

“Nobody talks about my work ethic, everyone talks about what I do off the track. I wanted to change this dynamicwrite my own story and keep preparing. Now that I’m in Dallas, I want to focus on what I can control.” added the NBA player.

Irving joined the Mavericks along with Markieff Morris in a trade that led to Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney Smith to the Nets, plus three draft picks.

The point guard will form an explosive duo with the Slovenian Luka Doncic and put personal interests asidenoting that he is excited to share the track with the ex-madridista and fight for the title.

He considered that Doncic is a player capable of doing things with a rhythm that “only seen with Larry Bird. He plays at his own pace, scores a lot of points and He’s always among the MVP candidates.” Irving said at a press conference.
