Earlier this week, Khloé Kardashian published for the first time a picture showing her son’s face, this in connection with the Kardashian family’s annual Christmas party. However, the son’s father, Tristan Thompson, was nowhere to be seen.
This summer, Khloé Kardashian welcomed her second child, a boy she has with her ex, Tristan Thompson. Khloé has so far neither published the boy’s name nor shown his face on social media, but in connection with the Kardashian family’s annual Christmas party, she decided to make an exception.
In an Instagram post published earlier this week, Khloé poses in front of a Christmas tree with her daughter True, 4, and her five-month-old son. Mother and daughter are wearing red dresses while the son is wearing a black bodysuit.
A new chapter
Khloé’s son was born through surrogacy. Shortly after the embryo transfer last fall, it emerged that the son’s father, Tristan Thompson, had cheated earlier that year and was expecting a child with Maralee Nichols, a PT from Texas. Their son Theo was born early in December 2021.
Khloé has said that the birth of the son marked the end of the difficult period that followed the revelation of Thompson’s infidelity:
“Ever since December, a dark cloud has been hanging over me. I’ve felt depressed and sad every day, and now that my son is here, I get to move on, and I get to enjoy,” she said in an episode of The Kardashians. “It’s almost like I’m allowed to close this chapter and be done with the trauma and leave it behind.”
