During December offers Clothing stores in Sweden and Norway customers to hand in Christmas and Santa Claus clothes and in this way together help to extend the life of the clothes. All whole and clean fleece garments are welcome, regardless of make, and as thanks for the help, the customer receives a value check of SEK 50 per garment submitted.
Kappahl wants to contribute to the circular lucia train by offering the customer the opportunity to return old lucia garments to the store, and then make sure that they can live on with new owners at a lower price and be used for many more Christmases.
– Many predict that we are only at the beginning of a second-hand boom. As a fashion chain with the goal of offering affordable and responsible fashion that is suitable for all occasions in life, we want to be able to offer a circular business model in combination with our existing one. The model gives the customer the opportunity to circulate their used garments and get several price options. A large part of our customers see second hand as a natural part of their shopping experience and we see great value in being able to offer this, says Viktoria Arndt, Destination and Development Manager at Kappahl.
