In October, several companies ended their collaborations with Kanye West after the artist made racist and anti-Semitic statements in various contexts. Now West calls Nazis “pretty cool” and claims he “likes Hitler” in an interview.
It was during Thursday, December 1 that Kanye West was a guest on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ program Infowars and made several anti-Semitic statements. West, who was masked during the interview, said among other things that he “likes Hitler” and that “they did good things too, we have to stop these Nazis all the time”.
“Every person has something valuable to contribute, especially Hitler,” West said during the interview, later adding, “Nazis are pretty cool,” according to SVT News.
West, who plans to run for the US presidency in 2024, met Donald Trump last week at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. There they dined with Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, who was also present during Kanye’s three-hour interview in Infowars.
Banned from Twitter – again
Kanye West was one of those who regained access to Twitter in connection with Elon Musk’s takeover of the platform last fall. Now his account has been suspended again, this after he published a picture of a swastika merged with a Star of David.
Elon Musk has confirmed that it is West’s recent posts on Twitter that led to his account being suspended. In a tweet, he writes that he “did his best” to “fix” the artist.
“Nevertheless, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended,” Musk wrote early Friday morning.
I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.
