With the hope of transcending and achieving a place in the history of Mexican soccer players who have earned respect in Europe, Julián Araujo is already training with FC Barcelona Bunder the orders of his compatriot Rafael Márquez.
Can It would be intimidating to have the ‘kaiser’ Rafa Márquez as a coachwho won everything with the Catalans and for more than 10 years defended the Mexico National Team shirt at the highest level, with respect and responsibility (he retired in July 2018), but Araujo will do everything possible to be taken into account in the first team.
The right-back, a former LA Galaxy, left good impressions in the Spanish media, which highlighted how quickly he integrated into training with Barca Athletic and his level of commitment to the squad.
For Julián Araujo, the demands of the FC Barcelona coaches are not unknown to him, since he was trained at the Barca Residency Academy USA when he was younger, from where he was seen to later become part of the Santa Barbara Soccer Club and then he went out to the basic forces of the LA Galaxy.
A jewel from FC Barcelona gives his blessing to the Mexican Julián Araujo
Despite not having shone as expected with FC Barcelona, Riqui Puig (23 years old) is considered another of the jewels that came out of the culés basic forces.
From 2017 to 2020, he got tired of commanding the victories of team B, leaving fantastic dribbles and plays, despite his discreet scoring tally (two goals).
Puig has in common with Araujo not only that now the Mexican will wear Barça, but also that he shared a dressing room with him at the LA Galaxy. Like his former partner, the Spaniard took the opportunity to give his blessing to the defender:
“He is a player who can give Barcelona a lot. He goes into space a lot, he has a lot of depth and, as Barcelona plays with very deep full-backs, he can come in handy ”
Despite being led by Rafa Márquez, it will not be easy for Julián Araujo to break through as the former player himself assured that the contract was not requested by him: “It was not my request.”
