Julian Araujo could not sign with FC Barcelona and was left out of the team for just 18 seconds because his papers for the transfer arrived late. Faced with this reality, FIFA did not allow the eleven culé to register the Mexican-American, a player who has been a priority for the team for some time now.
Mateu Alemany as reported Sports worldI expected FIFA to be a little more flexible with this situation, because the papers were only 18 seconds late due to a computer error. However The highest governing body of world football was blunt and prevented the incorporation of the 21-year-old footballer.
Now Julián Araujo will have to remain at the LA Galaxy for at least six more months when FC Barcelona goes back to do all the paperwork to become the international soccer player with Mexico and in the lower categories of the United States.
Although the Mexican-American would reach the FC Barcelona affiliate, he had clear options to play in the first team due to the transfer of Héctor Bellerín to Sporting Lisboa in Portugal. Barca likes the footballer very much and wants to train him for the future of the club and they see the necessary conditions for him. Unfortunately for now Araujo will have to wait and continue demonstrating his conditions in the MLS with the LA Galaxy.
