Chivas de Guadalajara are experiencing a dream moment in Mexican soccer. Despite multiple injuries, the coach Veljko Paunović has known how to overcome adversity and achieve very good results. But the future of the Sacred Flock could have been another, punctually with Javier Mascherano at the head of the process.
The former FC Barcelona player was very close to directing Chivas de Guadalajara. Ricardo Peláez, former sports director of the club, revealed that there were many approaches with the Argentine so that replace Marcelo Michel Leaño in the technical direction of the Mexican team.
